Someone asked me tonight what I do after the kids are finally in bed and all is quiet. And I thought I'd ask YOU all as well.
When Kevin's working nights and it's just me and the kids are finally FINALLY staying in their beds and I can actually relax, this is what I might be doing...
* I watch movies on Netflix instant play or a movie I planned ahead and got in the mail.
* I import and edit photos.
* I blog.
* I read. But not usually a novel. Usually a marriage book or something.
* I check email and Facebook and chat on Facebook.
* I fix myself a bowl of ice cream or something else yummy.
* I browse some of my favorite blogs. I go see what new photos are up on Pioneer Woman and other wonderful photographers. I read MckMama's tweets on her new baby, I check up on my favorite friends.
* I go to bed way too late and leave the dishes for the next day.
What do you do in those quiet hours at the end of the day??

Wow, we live very similar lives once our kids are in bed. ;)
ReplyDeleteAdding to all that, I often fold laundry, taking up the entire couch. I empty the dishwasher (usually).
I do not like to talk on the phone once it's finally time to relax.
I love Netflix & On demand for the nights I'm solo!
That looks about like my list, especially the going to bed way too late! Why oh why do we do that? I regret every single morning! I guess I know what will be my new goal for Monday's Meanderings. :-)
ReplyDeleteCrazy as it sounds, I also love to clean when the kids are all asleep. It's so much easier to do when they aren't around, and I can get it done so much faster!
I don't often stay up for more than an hour or so, but when I do....
ReplyDelete*I work on homework
*I watch a movie/TV
*I pick up the living room
*Now that school is around the corner I really won't be staying up too long, so probably will just be finishing up homework and laying out our clothes for the next day.
I'm pretty horrible at relaxing which I probably why I'm so stressed most of the time. I should work on that.
Well, I don't have kids yet but I can say that once supper is over, I clean the kitchen, tidy up as much as I can, change into PJs and relax! That might mean cuddling on the couch, reading a book, taking a long bath, or playing music. Usually I'm not online at night since my husband is home, but on rare occasions when he is busy or with the guys, I get online and browse around Facebook, blogs, and email. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful family and it sounds like we have many things in common from this post :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a fabulous weekend!

Usually I go to bed with Anthony & read while he snores away (not really but snoozes). If I stay up later (which doesn't happen often), I usually watch something on hulu or waste time on Facebook/blogging/hotmail.
