You know you eat out too much when...

...a song on the radio says "angels on a subway" and your child shouts from the backseat "SUBWAY!"

...you're looking at a book with your toddler. you point to a cherry and ask her what it is, and she replies in a soft, sweet voice, "Cherry, like the limeaid?" {Sonic}

...the radio announces a song by Sonicflood and your children shout, "SONIC!"

...all the time your kids will stick their head out the side of a ladder or the bottom of the piano or the window of something and say, "hamburger and fries please!"

What have you heard your children saying??

  1. Um yes! I love this post. Its a big part of our life too.
    Although my kids taste have grown a little bit with phrases like
    " Not McDonalds!! WE WANT THE STEAKHOUSE!!"

    "Red Lobster Red Lobster we want Red Lobster!"

    (spoiled?) yes.

    I dont ever even want to know what money we waste at the drive through....

  2. LOL! Oh I love this post!
    One of my boys' favorite things to play is drive-thru. Usually McDonald's. Often my oldest gets upset that we don't want Wendy's as much as McDonald's.

    Now, a STEAKHOUSE sounds GREAT!

  3. My kids play "drive up" too! Usually out the side of the play set outside. "Do you want nuggets or hamburger?"

    Also, I'd like to add a few "eat out too much" moments from our lives to your list...

    ...when you pull up to the bank drive through and your kids yell for chicken nuggets.
    ...when you get a prescription at the pharmacy drive through and they yell "Yay! French Fries!" when you grab the white pharmacy bag.
