May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:14
Psalm 19:14
Hubby. On Tuesday he took Eli out for awhile so I could have some "me time" at home. I finished watching a movie, checked my email, wrote in my prayer journal, and worked on transferring my book notes from A Wife After God's Own Heart to a new notebook. I enjoyed my time and it was much appreciated!
Goals. Just this week I sat down and revised my long-term goal list. Now I'm feeling motivated with direction in my life.
New cleaning schedule. As part of my goal list, I created a weekly cleaning schedule and am going to follow it for 3 weeks. I've tried a cleaning schedule before but didn't keep to it for even a day. This time it's posted on the fridge so I check it daily, and it seems to be working out nicely so far. I feel more organized and motivated, and for cleaning, that's a very good thing!
Eli. This week we've been weaning him from the binky for sleep and he's been doing sooo good! The first day he cried for 30 minutes at each nap but the last two days it's only been 2-5 minutes of crying. He's such a trooper. And last night he had a tummy upset after he was in bed and I'm soo thankful I thought to peek in on him before we went to bed, just to do a sniff check, and sure enough he'd gotten sick. We gave him a bath and got him all cleaned up and he was fine the rest of the night. He didn't sleep great (and neither did I) but at least he didn't get sick. Ever since an episode on our Virginia vacation, I've been paranoid about him getting sick and then just laying in all night because I didn't know it had happened. He seems to be doing okay today, so I'm very thankful for that too.
Naps. I will be taking a nap today. Period.
Memory verses. I am so thankful for my weekly memory verses and the ladies who have been doing them with me. It has been such an encouragement to me throughout my days and helps me stay focused on living a Godly life. (Join me if you'd like! I post a new verse each Wednesday so it's not too late to hop on board for this week!)

I agree! I am thankful for naps too! Glad to hear the weaning off the binky is going well. :-) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome list.
ReplyDeleteReally nice post. I saw in you profile that you and I have a LOT in common. Camping, cooking, war movies, Christian & Country music and Francine Rivers (my fav. author). Most women I know don't like war movies but I've loved them since I was a kid watching the old ones in black & white.
ReplyDeleteGreat list!!! I am going to make out my daily schedules tonight, including time for Bible study, and incorporating different daily household chores. Thanks for giving me the motivation to go ahead and complete that!!! Have a great day!!
ReplyDeleteI've stopped by your blog a couple of times...and you seem like such a godly young lady!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep seeking the Lord!!!
God bless!
This is a fantastic list. I am so wanting to catch up with you in a few months to see if you were able to keep your schedules.
ReplyDeleteHoping you do. Thank you for sharing.
God was very merciful when he invented naps. I take them as often as I can.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you

You inspire me, I am so behind since the baby came! Yes, take a nap, it's good medicine! I am so glad the binky thing is going well! Claire is doing better too. Just crying for a few minutes but still asking for it occasionally. I just change the subject very calmly! Have a great day! Julie
ReplyDeleteDid you get your nap yesterday? It takes me awhile to get around to all the TT. It's grown so much. Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Have an awesome weekend.
ReplyDeleteHow neat that you had some much needed me time. We do need those time to just refresh and refocus.
ReplyDeleteI hope that your pregnancy is going well :)
Cleaning schedule - sounds like something I should think about.
I am glad that Eli was okay after you had cleaned him and his bed.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Blessings to you and yours.
