Thankful Thursday

The holidays are here. Joy is being spread everywhere. Families are gathering. It's a beautiful time of year! And I am thankful....

For Family. We get to see them in just a few weeks, and I'm getting VERY excited!! Our week is packed already with things to do and people to see, and I know it's going to go so fast, but oh I can't wait!

For Hubby. Last week when I was "taking a break" he planned all the meals for us, mostly-cooked all the meals, and was just overall a SUPER help! I really needed that, and he DID it!

For Eli. We've had a good couple of days with few "episodes". And he's learned how to sign the word "more"! That's his first word or sign at all, so we're very excited and proud!

For babies. Two friends just had beautiful, healthy babies, and we're so thankful for the Lord's guiding hand through pregnancy and delivery. (Amy, you're next!!)

For clothes. I take for granted the clothes I have in my closet every day. And just as I was beginning to think about all we had to get for Baby Girl's wardrobe (since there's no baby shower second time around), we were given two small deliveries of hand-me-downs, for which I am sooo grateful!! I'm feeling a lot more prepared for those first few months of cold weather, so I don't feel like I have to go out and buy stuff NOW while it's still available!

For schedules. A couple of the moms in my stroller class are having troubles with their babies waking in the nap or napping during the day. (one baby is 7 months and another is 13 months) And I am soooo thankful that Eli's been sleeping through the night since 6 months old. It was a looong 6 months to get there, but we got there! And he's been on a good schedule ever since, making our days predictable and calm (for the most part), and he's getting the rest he needs to grow and develop.

For the little things. Coffee with lots of cream and sugar. Baked goodies. Mail. Surprise packages. Phone calls. Story time with the little one. Quiet evenings. Candles. Warm beds. Fuzzy blankets. Slippers. Hot breakfast. Colorful leaves. Afternoon outings. Flowers. Chocolate. Dreaming of chocolate. Warm pie. Weekends.

Join us at Crystal's for more thankful posts! Have a great week, everyone!
