Prayer for Mothers.

I posted last night about the disappointment I'm feeling right now regarding Kevin's work schedule. And then this morning I "happened" to spot on our book shelf this little prayer book for mothers by Jack Countryman. I honestly don't remember when I received it or where/who it came from or if I've ever looked at it before, but today it was a perfect timing. Amazing how God does that, huh? =)

Here is what I read for "Disappointment":
"And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us." - Romans 5:3-5

Life is unfortunately full of disappointments. But You, Lord, have given me a hope that never changes and a love that will never fade away. Speak to my heart and give me the ability overcome the struggles that are a part of life. Help me to look beyond my own circumstances and see Your purpose for me. I thank You for the challenges of life that help me walk closer to You. Amen.
Amen to THAT!

That is great and worth sharing. Thank you. I wrote up my own little analogy about things but didn't tie it to scripture. We need these times to grow.

So glad you found this and the encouragement it gave you.

I'm loving the fall background. I am going to have to see if I've looked at that site where you got it or not, I love looking at those sites with free backgrounds!

Don't worry, you aren't the only one burnt out and exhausted. Scott's been away 3-4 days the last few weeks and it goes through the end of November for us as well. Am I the only one who gets tired of basically running the house alone? Don't get me wrong I love that I have the opportunity to spend time with our children, but toddler speak and nursing a newborn all day long for many days straight and all alone gets loong and exhausting.
Speaking of which.. it's 7:30, both boys are in bed for the night and I think I might just join them. Cross your fingers PJ sleeps more than 5 hours tonight and perhaps I'll feel a little refreshed in the morning.

Good luck getting through your hard times. Just know you're not alone in this "He" and I are with you all the way.

(P.S. These are the days I wish you guys still lived close. We could certainly use some good mommy bonding when the guys are not home!)

Take care.
Keep Smilin'! That's my way to get through it.
